Disposal Guidelines

There are a variety of guidelines that you must adhere to when renting one of our dumpsters.  This list will also be emailed to you upon ordering your dumpster.

1. Our dumpsters are intended for general construction, landscaping, and/or household waste. You CANNOT put the following items in the dumpster unless the ‘Order Notes’ SPECIFICALLY states that you are allowed to.

• Asbestos-containing items
• Flammable substances
• Batteries
• Paint (unless it’s latex and fully dried)
• Contaminated dirt 
• Concrete/Dirt/Rock/Sand****
• Chemicals
• Explosive substances including propane tanks & aerosol cans
• Dead animals (yes, we’ve actually had customers try this!)
• Tires**
• Freezers, Refrigerators, or Air conditioners (no Freon-containing items allowed)**
• Perishable Food Waste
• Household appliances**
• Radioactive material
• Oil filters
• Electronics**

If so, additional fees WILL APPLY.

**Additional fees: If items listed above are placed into the dumpster, they can carry additional fees starting at $10 for tires, and a minimum of $35 for Freon products, i.e., refrigerators, air conditioning units, and dehumidifiers, and electronics, i.e., TVs, computer monitors, computers, etc., and lastly household appliances, i.e., washer, dryer, dishwashers. Unless otherwise noted, these charges will be applied once the load has been disposed of at the landfill. If you put one of these items into the container without confirming that they are allowed into the dumpster, you WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for any additional fees from the landfill. ****NOTE: You CAN dispose of concrete/dirt/rock/sand IF, AND ONLY IF you have stated that is what you will be disposing of in the dumpster. This type of debris is limited to removal in 10-yard or 20 yard dumpsters ONLY. Due to excessive weight of this material, you can only fill each dumpster 1/2 or 3/4 full with these items, unless stated otherwise.**

CLEAN CONCRETE: Means that NOTHING but concrete, and concrete alone is placed in your dumpster. If ANY other trash is mixed in the container, the load will be considered “MIXED” and the price will then be adjusted to include a haul rate, plus tonnage for disposal.

DAMAGE WAIVER/RELEASE. Roll-off dumpsters are very heavy and are not padded on the bottom. If you are concerned about driveway or property damage, we recommend you put adequate 4×8 sheets of plywood down prior to delivery. That being said, We are not responsible for any damage caused to your property by normal delivery, use and removal of the dumpster. The customer assumes all liabilities for damages to private driving surfaces, pavement or road surfaces and entires for roll off dumpster placement site. We shall not be responsible for any damages to any private driving surface, pavement or accompanying subsurface of any route associated to perform the service that was contracted. Should you NOT agree to these terms, it is your responsibility to cancel your order.

If you have any questions about what can be placed in the dumpster, please contact us BEFORE accepting dumpster delivery. If you fail to comply with the above regulations, we reserve the right to refuse dumpster pick-up and/or impose additional environmental fees at our discretion.

2. Mattresses and box springs will incur an extra fee of $35 per piece, unless otherwise noted.

3.You may NOT fill the dumpster over the fill line. If a fill line is not present, you may NOT fill the dumpster over the top of the container (what is considered water level).

4. You are responsible for obtaining a permit if required by your municipality. In most places, you cannot place a dumpster in the street without a permit. We are not responsible for any fines you may incur due to permit regulations.

5. DRY RUN FEES: You must provide adequate access for delivery and/or removal of the dumpster. If you fail to provide adequate access for our truck during the delivery or removal process, and the delivery or removal cannot be completed, you will be charged a minimum of a $100 trucking (dry-run) fee.

You will also be charged this DRY RUN FEE should you cancel the delivery or removal of the dumpster while the truck is en route to your location (same day request to cancel/postpone action). Our routes are scheduled the day prior to service, and a same day cancellation will result in this fee.

6. CANCELLATION FEE (if applicable): If you need to POSTPONE the delivery of your dumpster rental to a later date, there is NO CANCELLATION FEE. However, if you are cancelling your order after your credit card has been charged, you will be refunded the full amount minus 3.5% for credit card processing fees.

7. CANCELLING YOUR DUMPSTER DELIVERY: Should you need to cancel your dumpster order/delivery, you MUST SPEAK TO SOMEONE over the phone to confirm cancellation. Emails or voicemails that are left by customers during regular business hours Monday through Friday will try to be confirmed by dispatch, however, if not confirmed over the phone, this could result in a dry run fee (see Number 5 above) for a failed delivery attempt. It is the CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY to speak to someone in dispatch and confirm their order cancellation. Please note we are CLOSED for business on Saturday and Sundays.

7. If you exceed the included tonnage, you will be billed separately for these overages at the applicable rate laid out in your rental.

8. The quoted price for a dumpster rental includes a ONE-TIME FILL, and ONE-TIME DUMP of the dumpster. If you need an additional dumpster, please give us a call, or send us an email.

9. If you decide to keep the dumpster for longer than the specified number of days, you will be charged a daily/weekly/monthly fee at the applicable rate. We always try to call prior to your removal date to check the status of your project, however, it is YOUR responsibility to know when your dumpster is due for removal, and that additional charges WILL APPLY after that time.
